Tennis Pictures

My dad's good friend Walt asked if he could
take some pictures of Brady playing tennis.
Walt takes pictures of all the local sports teams in our area for the newspaper.

I was excited because I don't have many good pictures of Brady playing tennis.
Oh, I have a LOT...but not a lot of good ones!  Usually there is a fence to deal with...netting,
and distance.  Also, if it's inside....dim lighting is always an issue for me.

Walt ended up taking 368 pictures of Brady in action.
He gave my dad and I each a disk of all the pictures.

Here are some of my favorite!

I'm not sure what to do with all of these pictures...maybe make a collage
or have a couple of canvases made?  Any ideas?

Thanks Walt for all the pictures!
We really love them!

Ohio

It feels so good to be back home this week after being away for nine days.
I always look forward to our vacations...and then I'm always ready to get back home.
Back to a routine, home cooked meals, and a familiar bed!
We had a wonderful trip.  Our first stop was Ohio to visit my family and go to a family reunion and then we drove out to Chicago for Brady's tennis tournament.  I want to blog about it all....but I think I will break it up into smaller posts so I'm not too overwhelmed!
It's an eight hour drive to my hometown in Ohio.  We drove seven hours and then stopped at my friend Deanne's house for a wonderful meal she cooked for us.  It was so nice to visit with her and her husband ...and Brady really enjoyed hanging out with three of her four kids that were home.
Deanne has been my lifelong friend.  We moved to a new house when I was five and that's when I met her- our backyards joined together.  Our mom's became best friends and have been ever since.  Now our mom's live on the same street. Deanne's brother Jeff is a year younger than me and we swam everyday in the summer together, rode bikes, played kickball, went sled riding and were inseparable.  Deanne and I did the girlie stuff together- barbies and dolls.  They are family to me.
I'm so mad at myself for not thinking to get my camera out and take a few pictures.  Next time.
My dad kept Steffi for us during our whole trip.  He sure saved us a good deal by keeping her.
I think she kept him busy and gave him a reason to go for little walks here and there.
He seemed like he enjoyed having her...but I know he was ready to give her back!
Thanks Dad....we really appreciated you doing that for us!
My parents really wanted to see Brady play tennis while we were visiting.
They've only ever seen him play on little video clips we've sent them.
I was excited for them to see him play too.  They have both been so supportive of him and
it's always the first thing they ask him about.

It rained the first day so we took Brady to an indoor tennis club in Lexington.
Guess who I ran into??
My blog friend Cathy!
It was so crazy to meet her unexpectedly!  I guess it was just meant to be!
She is just as sweet as you would expect her to be (if you've ever read her blog!) and I enjoyed talking to her and meeting her two daughters!
I have a feeling we will meet up again. ;)
My sister snapped this picture of the 3 of us at our family reunion....
we don't have many family pictures...I think I like this one.
And yes, I wear a hat all summer to contain my big hair. :)
Alright, I have to run...that's it for now!
More to come!
