If You Like Peanut Butter....

We were invited over to a friend's house on Saturday evening for dinner and I offered to bring dessert.  I tried a new recipe that I had printed a while back.  I often try something new for other people...which doesn't make a lot of sense.  I should go with a tried and true recipe...but I think I get some kind of rush waiting to see if my dessert will turn out okay.  And, thankfully it did!  It was almost like a cookie on the outside and warm and dense on the inside.  The peanut butter glaze that went over the cake was SO good!

I made a huge mess with the peanut butter glaze.  It ran down the cake stand and all over the counter.  I put it in the freezer for a few minutes to harden, and then I was able to transfer the cake to a different cake stand.  No harm done...our little secret.

You can find the recipe for this cake over HERE.  I hope you try it...it's a keeper!

My mouth was hanging open when I saw this recipe...I will try it for sure. I also dropped my jowls when I saw the suggestion at the end of the recipe to use peanut butter cups chopped up...then I remember that you can buy mini reeses cups for baking...my brain and sugar love are now on overload! Tomorrow is my bday and I'm thinking that I need to make my own cake..and eat it too!

Love PB and Love pound cake. Will have to try this.

I saw once where the baker took squares of parchment paper (or any sturdy paper really) and put it under the cake while putting on the drizzle and then just pulled the sheets out of under the cake to take away the excess.

I would have just cut myself a slice and dipped it in the extra yumminess.

what i wouldn't give for a slice of that gorgeous cake right now, kerri!!! looks amazing!!

ps - i already made the rolo cookies that i repinned from your pinterest board ... they're fabulous!! the very sticky dough makes it tricky/messy to wrap the rolos - a test of my patience, but they're delicious :)
