Flashback Friday

I miss this little guy.  Sure, he was a lot of work...but he definitely made those long winter days more enjoyable.  We took lots of walks up to the Amish neighbor's house to visit the chickens.  On really cold days we would stay in our pajamas and sit by the fireplace and read books for what seemed like hours.  We played toys and cars and did puzzles.  We had lunch together everyday.  We waited by the big window in the playroom to wave to Daddy when he got home from work.  I don't ever remember "looking forward" to the day he started school.  Why did those first five years go so fast?

I hear ya. I just found a picture of Zoe when she was about 3 and I started to cry. Those chubby cheeks and wide eyes, it killed me. I never look forward to the first day of school either. I would like to take a walk and visit the chickens! That sounds like fun.

I don't look forward to Maddox going to school either... honestly, there are times I get very sad about it and have to remind myself that we still have a good 2 years!!

Brady is (and was) such a doll!

oh, time is hard isn't it Kerri? Wait until his first real "date". . .not that I would know anything about those feelings?!

I was always sad when the kiddos started school. I also loved having them home in the summer...and I was a working Mom! It was just a fun time. Times change and so do kids, but you have many great times ahead in Brady's life. He's a cutie. He just looks so small in that sled!

I hear you loud and clear! I cried so hard when my oldest went to Kindergarten. They grow way too fast.
Brady looks so cute in his little sled. Isn't it wonderful that you could be home with him and didn't have to miss a minute!

I wanted to say thank you Kerri, for always leaving such nice comments. You are so kind. Thank you!!

Brady is so precious in this photo. I know times flies, and it can tug at your heart to look back at old pictures like this. I have anxiety when I think about Boyd starting school. I try to say I will enjoy it, but it means I will be putting all of these years behind us.

hugs!

So adorable! Ours has gone by way too fast, too. I ache for it sometimes.

Good times, good times. But you know, it's so fun to watch them grow up and become their own person, too!

you're preaching to the choir on the topic of time flying by too fast, kerri ... when i figure out how to freeze my kids in time, i'll let you know :) ... but until then, oh my goodness is this photo ever the cutest!!!

Oh, I love those days. Luckily I still have one more go at it. But they do go far too fast.

i loved this post. I hope you don't mind my giving it a shot. So many of my photos of the girls as littles are only in hard copy. I think its time I started scanning.
